Design Center and Manufacturing

The African Mosaique Design Center and Manufacturing Hub was developed to address a clear gap in the market for small to medium-scale production in Africa, and in addition to serve as an innovative center and working example of what an integrated system can look like. It offers a practical approach that brings together design, prototyping, and manufacturing, allowing designers and brands to move efficiently from concept to finished product. While it serves as the production base for the African Mosaique in-house label, the center was equally built to support other designers and businesses seeking reliable, high-quality manufacturing within the continent.

The hub brings together key departments including garment production, leather, and traditional weaving, ensuring a balance between technical precision and craftsmanship. These capabilities allow for the development of diverse products while maintaining attention to quality and detail. In addition to production, the space includes areas for showcasing work, as well as environments that support collaboration and ongoing training.

Alongside its production activities, the center includes a focused incubator program that provides emerging designers with access to mentorship, technical guidance, and the facilities needed to develop their collections. Overall, the African Mosaique Design Center and Manufacturing Hub functions as a practical, working model—supporting designers, enabling production, and contributing to the growth of a more sustainable and locally rooted fashion industry.
